Tried using AI in your church or ministry?
Maybe it worked. Maybe it was a glorious mess. Either way, we’d love to hear about it.
What happens when AI meets actual church life?
We’re building a practical, faith-friendly guide to help churches engage with AI wisely — and we need your help.
From sermon writing to slide design, prayer prompts to pastoral dilemmas, AI is already shaping how people of faith work, worship, and wonder.
We’re collecting real-life experiences — helpful, hopeful, hilarious, or downright weird — to include in the upcoming Church + AI resource from d|c|t.
💡 Not sure what counts as a “story”?
Here are some examples we’ve already heard:
- “I asked ChatGPT to draft a benediction… and it wasn’t half bad.”
- “The kids used AI to draw angels. Six fingers and laser eyes.”
- “I used AI to summarise my sermon notes — it came back with haiku.”
Your story doesn’t need to be perfect or profound — just real.
📣 Why share your story?
Even if you don’t want your story published, it still helps.
We’re building a clearer picture of how churches are actually using AI — what tools are showing up, what they’re being used for, and how well (or not) they’re working. Your input helps us develop a statistical snapshot of what’s happening across Aotearoa and beyond — so we can create resources that meet real needs, not just hype or hypotheticals.
Whether your experience was brilliant, baffling, or a bit of both — we’d love to hear it
