Talanoa Oceania 2024

April 4 @ 11:00 - April 6 @ 19:00

Talanoa Oceania 2024 will be hosted on the land of the Burramattagal people of the Darug Nation by United Theological College, Charles Sturt University, North Parramatta, from April 4th – 6th  2024.

Talanoa Oceania facilitates the gathering of Pasifika peoples from the home islands and diaspora to share, engage, create and construct new knowledge.

The theme for Talanoa Oceania 2024 is Indigeneity: Belongings & Subversions. This talanoa provides a place and space for inspiring the imagination in exploring and celebrating the richness, diversity and complexity of our Pasifika cultures and how Indigeneity informs (or challengers) the notion of belongings and inspires subversions. We invite proposals that explore and interrogate how the theme and subthemes intersect (or not) to inform, disrupt, shape, influence (or hinder) engagement with the world and/or subversions through the creation of new knowledge, thinking and praxis.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
